In a Tangled Garden 2020

Harvest Gallery, Wolfville, NS

The idea of a garden – especially a tangled one – seemed to speak to my emotional state these days. Always rich with promise and growth, there is much beauty in the way nature prevails and thrives in sometimes, unpredictable ways. As the emotional state of the world changed recently, it became a symbol of hope, like the evidence of spring and summer in the air. I did studies and used photos from many different gardens, incorporating some textile elements, to create a variety of growth and ‘tangles’. Please enjoy my garden while we anticipate the new forms that nature will continue to take in our lives.
